We didn’t enter the category. We built it.

Founded in 2021 by three friends from Amsterdam, Tecán started with a simple frustration: tequila deserved better. We built a premium tequila category that barely existed in the Netherlands, and became its No. 1 by volume.

No heritage lessons, no dusty legends. Tecán is for the people who never liked tequila, until now. That is why it opens venues that don’t normally list a second agave brand, and why it keeps moving once it is on the shelf.

What we bring

We grew from 20 to 450+ venues by winning bartenders before shelves, and that pull carried the brand into retail: Tecán is now listed in every Gall & Gall in the Netherlands. You get the sequence that did it. Account targeting, staff training, serve rituals, menu and shelf placement, and the assets to run all of it: POS, glassware and bar kits, campaign photography and video, social adapted to your market, and event formats we have already proven, from festivals and fashion partnerships to our own Paloma Week.

What we expect

An importer with genuine on-trade reach, the retail relationships to follow it, and a sales team that can open accounts rather than only warehouse stock. We work with one partner per market and we build it together, so we would rather start small and right than large and passive.
