We didn’t enter the category. We built it.

Founded in 2021 by three friends from Amsterdam, Tecán started with a simple frustration: tequila deserved better. We built a premium tequila category that barely existed in the Netherlands, and became its No. 1 by volume.

No heritage lessons, no dusty legends. Tecán is for the people who never liked tequila, until now — which is why it opens venues that don’t normally list a second agave brand.

We grew from 20 to 350+ venues by winning bartenders before shelves. You get the full sequence: account targeting, staff training, serve rituals, menu placement and the activation formats that made it work here.

Brand assets that arrive finished

POS materials, glassware and bar kits, campaign photography and video, social assets adapted to your market, and event formats we have already run — festivals, fashion and music partnerships, and our own Paloma Week.

Who we’re looking for

An importer with genuine on-trade reach and a sales team that can open accounts, not only warehouse stock. We work with one partner per market and we build it together — so we’d rather start small and right than large and passive.
